" 1.And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him." (Genesis 22:1-3)
Here we have a faithful servant of God. A man of obedience and one who listened and did not question what God told him to do. God told Abraham to sacrifice his one and only son and sacrifice it. Now Abraham didn't hesitate and question God and say "God what? Are you crazy? My son? How about a sheep or lamb instead of my son?"
Abraham didn't do any of these but put his trust in God 100%.
Put your foot in Abraham's shoes, God calls you and tells you to sacrifice your son, daughter, mother father. I'm sure you would hesitate and ask God if he has made some sort of mistake because I know I will.
Abraham had FAITH and he TRUSTED in the Almighty God. Abraham knew that God will provide when he told Issac in verse 8 " 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together."
Abraham took a leap of faith and because of this he was rewarded
"15 And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,

17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice."
Abraham became the father of nations because of his obedience to God.
James 2:23-24" And the scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness and he was called God's Friend. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone."
So just like Abraham gaining a reward because of obedience his faith in God, we His sons and daughters can gain rewards by being obedience. to His word and what God tells us to do.
Everything He has in store for us is for the best of us, so all we have to do it obey and have faith.

My question to you is, What is God telling you to do that you are not doing? God could be telling you, speak to someone on the bus, train, taxi or it can be something simple as saying Hi to someone and telling them that God loves them.
God is speaking to you....Are you listening and obeying ?

Let me share my testimony with you
In my street there is this shop and every day when I past I would say "Hi...Good morning" to an elderly person there. Now for a couple of months when I passed I didn't see them and God spoke to me and said "Go and talk to her" Now I delayed God...and I kept making excuses because I was like "God what? These people gonna think I crazy"
So everyday when I past I would delay...
Now one day God convicted me and said "Go....something could be wrong and she needs help don't worry I am with you and you will say all that I will have you to" Well that's when I said "This is about God not me and how I feel. God is greater than how I feel and He will direct my part."
So I went and I asked for the lady....and the next day I met with her...and I spoke with her and my heart was over joyed because God knew why He sent me there. The lady said she was so happy and glad to see me and that this is God's work because she needed someone and I was there for her.
Now back then I was scared....but now I know that God is with me always and I can do the impossible once God it helping me.
So don't delay like I did......

Today I pray that you allow God to move in your life and that your spirit obeys. I pray that God gives you the courage and strength to what ever it is that He is calling you to do in His plan. May God give you guidance and help as you continue to pray and seek Him. I pray that all your questions be answered according to Him timing and that you make time to listen to God when He speaks. I pray that your spirit be aware that it is God who is speaking and that even if you are unsure that you pray and God will answer your Prayer. In Jesus Name I Pray Amen.
