Are you Set Apart?

As we see before we are to give whatever gift or talent, that we have, unto the Lord we are to do it to the best of our abilities. Now in Romans 12:1, it says, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship.

In the new testament, we learn that instead of offering animals as sacrifices we can offer our bodies as a living sacrifice. The bible teaches us that we need to ensure that it, being our body, is holy and pleasing unto God, at all times.

What does the Bible mean when it says, Holy?  Holy, means sacred, being set apart for God's purpose and use. We need to ensure that we are set apart from this world. Although we are in the world we are not to be off the world.  Part of being Holy is also ensuring that we are displaying the fruit of the spirit, Galatians 5:22-23, at all times and not the works of the flesh, Galatians 5:19-21. Ensuring that our lifestyle lines up with the word of God. Ensuring that whatever we do brings glory and honour to God at all times.

Are you set apart for God's use?

Are you Holy?
