Scripture: Malachi 1:13-14
13 And you say, ‘What a burden!’ and you sniff at it contemptuously,” says the LordAlmighty.
“When you bring injured, lame or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands?” says the Lord. 14 “Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the Lord Almighty, “and my name is to be fearedamong the nations.
In the old testament, people were required to give a burnt offering unto the Lord. If we remember Cain and Abel, they gave burnt offering unto Almighty God.
In Malachi 1:13-14 the Lord asks a very important question and that is " “When you bring injured, lame or diseased animals and offer them as sacrifices, should I accept them from your hands?” says the Lord.
If God were to give us these types of blessings, would we accept it? If your answer is No, then why do we give God halfway sacrifices?
We no longer have to offer animal sacrifices unto the Lord, but we offer our gifts or talents these things unto God as sacrifices. When doing this let us give out BEST unto God! Let us give all that we have to offer unto the Lord.
We do our worldly jobs to the best of our abilities, we do projects for school to the best of our abilities let us, therefore, do our work for the Lord to the best of our abilities. Giving 100%, all that we have into it. Let us be sold out for the Lord.
